The Galaxy S7 launched this week, and is the latest top of the range smartphone from Samsung. One of its most interesting features is its IP68 dust and water resistance. This means that the S7 can withstand being submerged in up to 1.5 metres of water for up to 30 minutes at a time. More than enough to survive the odd dunk in the toilet. It's worth noting that it isn't designed to be used underwater, but it's still good news for the more clumsy amongst us! Perhaps more importantly it means that you can make calls and send text in the rain with complete peace of mind.

The Galaxy S7 also feature Gorilla Glass 4 on the front and back, which should make it highly resistant to scratches. Unfortunately this means that if you drop it there's a higher chance of cracking the case than if the back was made out of aluminium. Repairing the glass screen or back could cost up to £150, and to replace it due to loss, theft or irreparable damage would cost £569! So if you think there's a reasonable chance that you could drop or lose your Galaxy S7 you'll probably want to consider insurance for it.
